The Pit Stop Automotive represents two generations of vintage automobile restoration which began back in Lebanon when Sarkis Najjarian taught himself to repair cars and opened his own garage. This is also where Raffi experienced his love of vintage cars as a young boy, by dismantling a set of Jaguar gauges from a local neighboring garage.
Back then, most new parts were unavailable, so all parts had to be repaired, saved, reused or replicated.
In 1967 the family moved to Boston, Massachusetts where Sarkis Najjarian opened Garage Najjarian, where Raffi started working with his father after school and on vacation breaks.
Eventually, Raffi moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to work at a friend’s garage until in 1990 when he opened The Pit Stop Automotive in Brisbane, California.
Working side-by-side, Raffi and Sarkis Najjarian, have completed many award winning restoration projects displayed at events such as Pebble Beach Concours, Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’este, Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance and Cavallino Classic.
